About SwimAmerica
at Penn Charter
SwimAmerica lessons are
available to students ages 2 to adult. The lessons follow a
simple step-by-step format that allows each child to progress at
his/her own pace. Developed by swimming coaches,
SwimAmerica is the only learn-to-swim program
endorsed by the American Swimming Coaches Association.
SwimAmerica is a goal driven, technique oriented
program that focuses on drown prevention and water safety.
All of our staff members must go through intensive training and
testing before they are allowed to teach swim lessons. Groups
are kept small (no more than 1 instructor to 6 students) in order
to make sure that all of our students learn and progress
quickly.
The
SwimAmerica swim school offers five Saturday or
Sunday afternoon sessions throughout the year at the William
Penn Charter School, located on School House Lane in historic East
Falls. Each session is eight weeks in length (summer session
is 6 weeks) and each lesson is 25 to 30 minutes in
length.
How is
SwimAmerica different form other lesson
programs?
- High quality
lessons give your swimmer the skills to swim safely and
efficiently
- Lessons are
taught by well-trained and tested instructors
- Lesson groups
are small in size (4-6 students)
